Vidhura Ralapanawe is the Executive Vice President of Epic Group, an apparel manufacturer with a global footprint headquartered in Hong Kong.
Vidhura holds degrees in Engineering, Sustainability and a doctorate on organizational change. He worked in renewable energy, and as a climate researcher, before joining the apparel industry as a sustainability professional in 2006.
He has extensive experience in building sustainability strategy and plans from ground up, working from the formative stages at MAS Holdings. He has also worked in green building standards, energy efficiency and energy transition, working at organizational and national level. He currently leads Epic Group’s transition towards sustainable business including manufacturing footprint reduction, decarbonization, product and supply chain sustainability.
His work also includes product footprinting and LCAs. He is a Board Director at Sustainable Apparel Coalition and was involved in development of many tools of the Higg Index.
