Leor is an energy and sustainability expert with corporate, entrepreneurship, and NGO experience. He co-hosts a popular podcast called Pipelines & Turbines, which features interviews and commentary about topical energy and sustainability issues.
As Executive Director of Canadian Business for Social Responsibility (CBSR), Leor facilitates a learning network for 50 leading Canadian companies to support their net-zero, diversity & inclusion and other environment, social and governance performance. During his tenure, Leor has grown business memberships by 300% and led the organization through a merger with the Delphi Group and GLOBE Series.
Leor started his career in the international development sector and spent several years as a sustainability leader with two of Canada’s largest energy companies. He was a key architect of the Energy Futures Lab and co-founded a social enterprise, specializing in zero-waste events. Leor currently lives with his partner and their one-year old daughter in Moh’kins’tsis, the Blackfoot name for the place commonly known as Calgary, which is located in the Treaty 7 region and traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy, Tsuut’ina, and Stoney Nakoda First Nations as well as the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III.
