Janhavi is the International Coordinator of HomeNet South Asia. HomeNet South Asia (HNSA) is a network of home-based worker organizations across all South Asian countries. One of the key focus areas of HNSA’s work is to promote livelihoods for home-based workers through building and supporting social enterprises, as well as through mapping and multi-stakeholder interventions for ethical supply chains.
As an International Coordinator, Janhavi is the operational head of the organization. She has dedicated much of her career towards economic empowerment for the informal economy women workers through livelihoods support, access to finance and advocacy for inclusive public policies. Over the years she has worked with Self-Employed Women’s Association (SEWA), IFMR Trust (now Dvara Trust) and Women in Informal Employment: Globalizing and Organizing (WIEGO).
