WEAR: Fashion & The SDGs

A set of 17 global goals – known as the Sustainable Development Goals – were developed by the United Nations in 2015, in consultation with world leaders, international organizations, and the general public, to help combat climate change. These goals recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve the earth’s resources. This month, we will dive into the goals that relate closest to the fashion industry, and learn from leading experts and brands how the fashion industry can play a critical role in achieving the SDGs within the next 10 years.
